In reply to Zechs. Hey Zechs, thanks for the early feedback. Super interested to hear your thoughts after a good amount of carrying. We hear you on the waist belt, there's a bit of a knack to it. Lead in with the alloy hardware and the rest will follow. It was designed intentionally to be 'invisible' when the belt is tucked away, and isn't something we thought would be deployed regularly, but certainly in hindsight an extra inch clearance would have been nice!

So, got the bag, construction quality is fantastic as expected. However, similar issues as when I got my AEL002 years back –> the tolerances are a bit too tight. The waist strap can’t be stowed because the pieces have been sewn together so tightly, there’s not enough give to actually open up the stowaway pocket! Also noticed that the way that the metal hardware has been machined prevents the straps from smoothly sliding through. Overall, the design of this bag is fantastic, but these minor things make it a bit unpleasant to use on a daily basis. Like someone else mentioned – losing the dedicated tablet pocket is a big loss to the design of the bag.
