I've used a Nite Ize SlideLock S-Biner for years. I clip it to a belt loop on my jeans. I intend on trying the Keysmart (I have one; just have to find it) as well as some aluminum alloy key blanks to duplicate some keys. The Keysmart keys are made with 7074 (or 7024; I can't remember which) aluminum alloy that is much lighter yet 2x stronger than regular brass keys. I'll try to come back and provide an update when I've got everything set up.

Comment on A Beginner’s Guide to Tactical EDC Backpacks and MOLLE by Denzler C.S. https://www.carryology.com/utility/edc/beginners-guide-to-tactical-edc-backpacks/comment-page-1/#comment-425872 Sun, 01 Sep 2024 01:40:29 +0000 https://www.carryology.com/?p=35036#comment-425872 I am a Veteran of the USMC from 96-00. Govt Issued field gear from that time period has been my go-to since I’m so familiar with it and it’s fairly cheap. I have joined the Civil Air Patrol a year ago and am required to keep a 24 hour and 72 hour pack for Search and Rescue Missions on hand and ready at a moment’s notice. My 24 hour pack fits neatly inside a handy, tough school book sized backpack with durable fabric and leather bottom. I also have a Medium sized ALICE Pack. This gets to be a bit large and ungainly with all gear and frame for the 72 hour pack. I’m not loading out for a full military deployment here… However, due to budgetary constraints, will be forced to go with the Amazon $50 and under specials. The problem with these is the sight-unseen factor. Will a 30-50L pack hold all of my gear and is it durable enough. 99% of the time it will sit either in a corner of the house or in my truck. So it might just work. Thank you very much for this heads-up article. It is very interesting and informative.

The whole load is compressing their spine.

Does that mean they gain back that 1 point which was docked making both evenly scored?
